Alejandro RamÃrez Barboza, also known as Ale Rambar, a visionary Costa Rican visual artist, has redefined the realm of paper art with his stunning 3D portraits and illustrations. His innovative technique involves meticulously layering cut paper to create topographical compositions that are not only visually captivating but also convey powerful messages on gender equality, tolerance, and environmental respect.
His unique approach to art was showcased during the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics by the Costa Rican Olympic team and has earned him the honor of representing his country at the Beijing International Art Biennale. I create my paper art to talk about issues of tolerance for the environment in which we live, for the people who live in it and for our representations of love. It see it as an artistic exploration in favor of equality, love, respect and sexual diversity, expressed in works of art that seek to open spaces for conversation.
